Swindon has a number of things to be proud of but probably most well known is its industrial heritage from the great days of the railway – GWR. We are excited to be bringing our tattoo convention to you in the Great Western Hall, part of STEAM – The Museum of The GWR. This is part of the converted railway works and is steeped in history.
The hall is fully accessible and the convention is split over 3 levels with lift and stair access.
What is a Tattoo convention?
Tattoo conventions are events that allow hundreds of artists, collectors and spectators to participate in a weekend of live tattooing.
You can go along to watch the tattooing, buy food, drink and goods from the numerous stands, listen to and watch the entertainer, see the competition winners and of course get tattooed (but you don’t have to!!) Many artists will allow you to book in on the day but if there is a particular artist you’d like to be tattooed by it’s best to get in touch and book in advance.
Join us and up to 100 tattoo artists, numerous traders stands, a bar, coffee kiosk, numerous food trucks and entertainment. The hall is attached to STEAM Museum and next door to The National Trust HQ with its shop and cafes and the huge McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village, with its 14 restaurants and 90 big name stores. Extensive low price parking is available next to the Outlet Village and the town centre, train and bus stations are a short walk away.
